Why do I need you?

Nobody's perfect, and it always helps to have a separate, unattached party to help you optimize your time and effort before sending your ideas out to a customer, investor or the public at large.

What can you do for me as a copywriter?

My job as a copywriter is to make your work look even better by spotlighting the best, most relevant information in language a reader will want to stay with until the end. I'll help you market your idea from conception to delivery. Together we can formulate a branding strategy, build brand awareness and get the sale.

What can you do for me as an editor/proofreader?

As an editor, I take an extra-close look at your writing—published or unpublished—and tell you what works and what doesn't. The idea is not to reinvent the wheel, but to create a fresh, effective draft poised to get you the results you want. As a proofreader I provide an extra set of eyes to catch grammatical inconsistencies, spelling errors, punctuation issues and generally watch your P's and Q's.

So the bottom line is...

The bottom line: I take your information and turn it into professional, engaging, persuasive copy that invites—and holds—the attention of your intended audience. From a simple advertisement to a full-length feature article to a Web site to a full-length book, I can help you put your thoughts into words that work.

What do your fees include, and what are your rules?

Projects are quoted on an individual basis. I will begin your project upon receipt of a 50% deposit of the full quoted fee. The balance is due 30 days after invoicing. Quoted prices include a first draft, second draft and final edit (if necessary). Additional and/or subsequent drafts are extra. Typical turnaround is two to three weeks; faster turnaround is available for an additional rush fee.

Please ensure that all information you furnish me is accurate and legally sound. Lee Copywriting & Editing retains full copyright of all work until I receive full payment; however, the customary courtesy of singular reproduction for portfolio purposes is appreciated.

It goes without saying (and yet I will anyway) that all work is confidential. No one but you and I will see your work or ideas.

I don't think we live near each other. Is this a problem?

Thanks to the Internet, we should have no trouble collaborating! (You are reading this online, aren't you?) For mutual protection, I use PayPal to process payments, and this service can convert any currency into U.S. dollars easily and at no additional cost to you.

I think I'm ready. What next?

Drop me a line at leecopywriting [at] gmail [dot] com. Tell me a bit about yourself, your work and what you'd like to see me address. Do not send an attachment at this time. I'll be in touch.

Best wishes!
Eve
